What is gibson rd?

The Gibson RD guitar first appeared in the 1970s and was manufactured by the famous Gibson Guitar Corporation. It was designed to compete with the popular Fender Stratocaster and featured a unique offset double-cutaway body shape, two humbucker pickups, and a 24.75-inch scale length.

The RD model was available in both Standard and Custom versions, with the Custom model featuring additional aesthetic details such as binding on the body and neck and gold hardware. The RD series also included a bass guitar version.

Despite its innovative design and high-quality construction, the Gibson RD series was not a commercial success and was eventually discontinued in the early 1980s. However, the RD has gained a cult following among guitar players and collectors for its unique sound and distinctive look.
